Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced G-Scaler / Juniper Engineer to support enterprise network infrastructure, Juniper switching deployments, and Cisco-to-Juniper migration projects. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Juniper EX/QFX platforms, Junos OS, Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, routing protocols, and network cutover activities.

Experience with EVPN/VXLAN, Juniper Mist Wireless, and Marvis AI is highly desirable.

Key Technical Skills

• Juniper EX/QFX switches and Junos OS.
• Cisco-to-Juniper configuration migration and network modernization.
• Layer 2 and Layer 3 routing and switching.
• VLANs, trunking, STP/RSTP, LACP, and port-channel technologies.
• BGP, OSPF, and advanced network troubleshooting.
• EVPN/VXLAN architecture and data center networking.
• Juniper Mist Wireless and Marvis AI.
• Network change management, cutover planning, and rollback procedures.
• Network monitoring, incident management, and root-cause analysis.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Migrate existing Cisco switch configurations to Juniper EX/QFX platforms.
• Analyze current network configurations and prepare migration plans.
• Configure and troubleshoot Juniper devices using Junos OS.
• Validate network connectivity, routing, switching, and application reachability before and after cutovers.
• Execute planned network changes during approved maintenance windows.
• Develop and maintain detailed implementation, testing, and rollback plans.
• Troubleshoot migration issues and minimize network downtime.
• Support BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, LACP, and other Layer 2/Layer 3 technologies.
• Assist with EVPN/VXLAN deployments and data center network operations.
• Support Juniper Mist Wireless and Marvis AI capabilities where applicable.
• Coordinate with network architects, operations teams, and remote engineering teams.
• Maintain network diagrams, configuration backups, implementation documents, and post-change reports.
• Participate in incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and continuous service improvement.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise networking.
• Strong practical knowledge of Juniper switching and Junos OS.
• Experience with Cisco-to-Juniper migration or network cutover projects.
• Solid understanding of routing, switching, TCP/IP, and network troubleshooting.
• Experience executing production changes with appropriate validation and rollback procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Juniper certifications such as JNCIA, JNCIS, or JNCIP.
• Hands-on experience with Juniper EX and QFX product families.
• Experience with EVPN/VXLAN and data center networking.
• Familiarity with Juniper Mist Wireless and Marvis AI.
• Experience working with distributed teams in a remote environment.

Work Environment

• Remote position supporting US-based network infrastructure projects.
• Collaboration with network engineering, architecture, and operations teams.
• Participation in scheduled maintenance windows and occasional after-hours cutovers as required.
